Trailer for Wes Anderson’s ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ hits the web

Wes Anderson movies are very rare and treasured things. Granted, there’s always some dope in the group who says that his best film was “Rushmore” and he hasn’t done much good since, but that person will still always see a new Wes Anderson film when it comes out. And for that reason, we’re really excited about “Moonrise Kingdom.”

Set at a summer camp in the mid 1960′s, we find a smart young “pigeon scout” who corresponds with a local girl, proposing that they run away together in the wilderness. Frances McDormand plays the girl’s mother; Billy Murray, her father; Ed Norton the camp counselor and Bruce Willis, the local sheriff. Oh, and Tilda Swinton and Jason Schwartzman, too, but their bizarre parts are unclear from the trailer. Schwartzman seems to be some kind renegade priest as far as we can tell. The young girl is dressed very much in the style of Margot Tenenbaum and as is usual for his movies, there seems to be an overall tone of yellow/gold in the film. Bill Murray is again depressed and desolate – but that’s how we like him best. Oh, and then there’s that classic slo-mo shot you’ve been waiting for.

May 25th 2012 can’t come soon enough.
