Thursday gossip roundup: Will Whitney Houston’s doctors face charges?

Whitney Houston leaves a doctor's office on November 19, 2009 in Los Angeles, California.

In the investigation into what exactly caused Whitney Houston’s death, investigators are reportedly interviewing the late singer’s doctors about what sort of medications had been prescribed, according to the Associated Press. “We’ve already contacted a number of doctors with requests for records,” a coroner’s official confirms, adding that such a move is common in investigations such as this one. The move brings to mind the investigation into Michael Jackson’s death, which resulted in his doctor, Conrad Murray, being convicted on manslaughter charges.

Rumer Willis is finally speaking out about mom Demi Moore’s drug-related hospitalization and current rehab stint in Utah. “My mother is on the road to recovery. It’s slow going but we believe in her,” Willis tells Germany’s TZ online. “Of course the situation weighs heavily on me.” Willis is alleged to have been at home with Moore when an ambulance had to be called to rush Moore to the hospital.

Zac Efron may be dodging rumors that he’s dating “Mirror Mirror” star Lilly Collins, but taking her out on Valentine’s Day probably isn’t helping. The young stars were spotted leaving the Soho House in West Hollywood on Tuesday evening — just a week after they were spotted holding hands at a dinner together.

Winning six Grammys can make a woman reconsider her plans, as Adele is rethinking her claims in a Vogue interview that she’d take five years off before making another record to avoid becoming “disposable.” “I’ve a few days off now, and then it’s the Brit Awards here at home and then I’m straight into the studio,” the singer posted on her blog. “Five years? More like five days!”

Angelina Jolie and the actors who star in her directorial debut, “In the Land of Blood and Honey,” have been receiving death threats over the film’s content, according to the Guardian. “There were things sent to me, there were things posted online,” Jolie says. “The cast have never complained to me about these threats but I’ve heard through other people it was happening. One of them did have their windows smashed in on their cars and someone else had an issue when their phone was hacked and emails were sent out saying they were from them and saying they had been hurt.”

The reality of wife Heidi Klum’s divorce filing must be starting to set in for Seal, as the singer was spotted not wearing his wedding ring for the first time, according to Us Weekly. Seal arrived in Australia this week without the band on his finger. He’d been wearing it defiantly after Klum’s separation announcement last month. “Just because we have decided to separate doesn’t necessarily mean you take off your ring and you’re no longer connected to that person,” Seal told Ellen DeGeneres in an interview at the time.
