Obama plays ‘Plead the Fifth’ with Andy Cohen, dodges question about Michelle’s outfit

President Obama used his right to plead the fifth at the $40,000 per plate fundraiser he attended with First Lady Michelle Obama at Sarah Jessica Parker’s town house, according to the Daily Beast.

Taking his place on the star-studded guest list was Bravo host Andy Cohen, who is famous for playing “Plead the Fifth” with his celebrity guests on his show “Watch What Happens Live.” In the game, Cohen asks three questions, but stars can opt out of answering one by “pleading the fifth.”

This time, though, it was President Obama who found himself in the hot seat after dinner at Thursday’s glamorous fundraiser. Cohen explained the rules to President Obama, who asked whether he was going to be told what the three questions were up front.

When Cohen replied that he would not, Obama responded, “Well, there are going to be some nervous people in the back of the room.”

Cohen launched into his first question, asking Obama to name his favorite presidential “perk.” Obama replied that the best perk of his job is sitting with his wife and enjoying the view from the Truman Balcony.

But it was the second question that prompted Obama to exercise his right to silence. Cohen asked him to name an outfit that Michelle Obama wears that he doesn’t like and explain why.

Obama didn’t hesitate to plead the fifth as the crowd cracked up laughing. But that sparked the first lady’s curiosity: “Now I want to know what it is.”

“No way. I’m not crazy,” the president replied.

Luckily, the third and final question was not one for which the president wished he had reserved his save. Cohen asked him about his most embarrassing music selection for blasting in the motorcade.
Obama responded that he only listens to music on his iPod and it’s usually Stevie Wonder or the Rolling Stones.

And those nervous people in the back of the room proceeded to breathe a collective sigh of relief.
