It’s time for the 2013 MLB All-Star Game and whether you’re rooting for the American or National team, everyone can agree that fan excitement about the game is the fun part. With the game being hosted at NYC’s very own Citi Field, there’s a ton of ways to enjoy game festivities, even if you don’t have a ticket inside. Check out these events around the city where you’re sure to find baseball and a great time.

All-Star Chicken Wing Derby

What: Nothing says ultimate battle like competitive eating. Join the good folks at the Firehouse Tavern on Monday night to watch 10 eater athletes as they compete to consume the most chicken wings within four minutes. The winner of the competition will receive a free pitcher of beer and a Firehouse Tavern T-Shirt. Who needs a trophy?

Magnum Mondays

What: If you’re feeling like more sophisticated All-Star fun head down to STK Downtown for their “Magnum Monday” event. The restaurant is helping baseball fans get into the spirit by serving baseball themed cocktails and special desserts. The restaurant will also feature late night entertainment and music from STK’s resident DJ Lexey.

When: Monday, July 15th 7 p.m. – 1 a.m.

What: Everyone loves a good selfie, so why not put yours to use? n conjunction with the 2013 All Star Game, fans are invited to share their love of the All-Star Game by submitting a TwitPic, Instagram or Vine with the hashtag #iTunesMLB. Pictures can include pics from a past games, this year’s tickets, a collection their All-Star gear, etc.
