Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels delighted “Dumb and Dumber” fans when they tweeted photos from the set of their long-awaited sequel to the original buddy movie. Carrey sports the same signature Lloyd bangs and gap in his teeth, while Daniels has kept Harry’s frizzy blond locks. The buddies look largely the same, with the addition of a few wrinkles – not bad considering it has been almost 20 years since the original.

Carrey and Daniels will star in “Dumb and Dumber To,” in which the friends have aged 20 years. The sweet but slow buddies set out to meet Fraida Feltcher, their former romantic interest, who reveals to them that one of them is the father of her child – they search for the child in hopes of receiving a kidney transplant. Kathleen Turner reprises her role as Feltcher and the Farrelly brothers have returned to direct the film. Last year, Peter Farrelly told Metro of the upcoming sequel, “All I can say is that it’s not the type of plot that I can make it sound good. It’ll sound like sh– but trust me, it’s the exact same guys doing more of the same stuff, but we don’t want to give anything away.”

Daniels, who just won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role in “The Newsroom,” promised Rolling Stone that fans won’t be disappointed with the sequel. “We’re going to do things in Dumb and Dumber To that make the [original] toilet scene look lame – pales in comparison,” he said. “I can’t divulge what [the new scenes are], just that they’ve topped it.”

“Dumb and Dumberer,” the 2003 prequel to “Dumb and Dumber,” was panned by critics. Carrey, Daniels and the Farrelly brothers were not involved in the film.
