Starting tonight and running several times each evening until New Year’s Eve, Franklin Square’s Electrical Spectacle will be lighting up the historic park at Sixth and Race streets. The family-friendly holiday light show includes 50,000 LED lights, including a 10-foot kite made of lights (thanks for electricity, Ben Franklin!)

All of that will be lovely to look at — but not to eat. If you’re looking to sit down and warm up before or after, try these spots.

DiNardo’s Famous Crabs
312 Race St., 215-925-5115
www.dinardos.com

If the start of the holiday season makes you wistful for beach days and board shorts, get yourself some seafood. It’s the only remedy. DiNardo’s will satiate your shellfish lust with salads, sandwiches, pastas and crab any way you like them: steamed, dirty or sauteed in garlic.

Radicchio Cafe
402 Wood St., 215-627-6850
www.radicchio-cafe.com

“Cozy” is a word often used by realtors as a polite way of saying “cramped.” In Radiccho Cafe’s case, cozy means cozy. Make it a date night by bringing a bottle of wine to this BYOB spot.

Jose’s Tacos
469 N. 10th St., 215-765-2369

Fight off the chill with spicy Mexican food. Don’t be deterred by the restaurant’s humble exterior, this place is one of those hole-in-the-wall joints that people in the know seek out. And if you’re running late for the light show, burritos make great mobile food as well as hand warmers.

Llama Tooth
1033 Spring Garden St., 267-639-4582
www.llamatooth.com

With its refined decor, Llama Tooth doesn’t necessarily give off a kid-friendly vibe. But this Spring Garden spot has what youngsters want: options. The rugrats can choose from several different mac ‘n’ cheese and burger varieties. And don’t forget about that lengthy beer list. You know, to keep you warm at the light show.

Sazon
941 Spring Garden St., 215-763-2500
www.sazonphilly.com

Stop by this Venezuelan restaurant for the signature hot chocolate. The decadent treat comes in a variety of flavors, ranging from sweet to spicy. If you really want to warm up, go for the habanero-infused Gila Monster.
