For those whose sea legs are still a bit too short, the New York Boat Show has plenty to do. Kids of all ages can be kept busy all day with more activities for kids than any other year. Here is a round-up of kid-approved stuff to do. Don’t forget – kids under 15 get in free!

Meet Captain Dave Carraro!
Kids are a large part of the fan base of Wicked Tuna, a National Geographic Channel reality show about bluefin tuna fishing off the coast of New England. Join him for story time about his high seas adventures!

Visit the Swampmaster!
Expert gator-handler Jeff Quattroochi will perform his traveling alligator show. After Jeff teaches the audience about gators and handles one himself, audience members can get up close and personal with baby gators.

Catch a juggling show!
Pro jugglers Michael Karas and Jen Slaw from the hit show Perfect Catch have juggled on Late Night with David Letterman, and will be juggling for you at the New York Boat Show on New Year’s Day.

Ride a paddle-boat!
An indoor pool with paddle-boats is the perfect way for little skippers to try their hand at navigating.

Hear about Bluebear the Pirate!
Steve Buckley will be reading from his award-winning series, Bluebeard the Pirate. Kids can also play a variety of sea-themed games, like hunting for treasure and collecting pirate booty.

Make your own boat!
Kids can build their own keepsake model boat with supplies provided, and bring it home!

Brush elbows with VIPs!
Kids can also mingle with Sponge-Bob Square Pants and the Miss GEICO racing boat, the world’s fastest catamaran, which tops 180 mph.
