And now here’s Drake with today’s weather…

Forget weather.com. Delete your iPhone weather app. Wave bye bye to Al Roker. It’s all about DrakeWeather.com now.

This new alternative weather website is simple, it detects your location and not only posts the forecast, but changes the sky background of Drake’s, “Nothing Was the Same,” album art to match the current weather conditions. Aaaand that’s about it. But it is rather awesome in its simplicity.

Following the Canadian rapper’s widely-praised “Saturday Night Live” hosting debut (doing double duty as host and musical act), a recent appearance on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” and a handful of nominations for the upcoming Grammy Awards, it was the perfect time for creative developers “Tom, Bob & Bert”  to launch the site. Since its launch just a couple of days ago, the site’s Facebook page already tallies over 40,000 likes.

This isn’t the first Drake-inspired app. In early December another group of techy gurus launched another seemingly useless smartphone app called Drake Shake. The free app lets you add silhouetted Drakes to any photo.  Pointless? Maybe. But the app has settled in the top 100 photo apps on iTunes and was even seen being used by the rapper himself.

So, even if the polar vortex continues to have its way with the east coast, at least those hibernating inside can log on and watch cute little snowflakes and raindrops fall upon Drake’s gigantic head pictured on the site. It makes endlessly checking the state of the polar vortex a little better, right? (Right.)
