Former Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland is finally going public about how it feels to live in Beyonce’s shadow in her new song, “Dirty Laundry.”

The song is a raw, angry account of surviving an abusive relationship and watching Beyonce become a superstar and leave her behind, according to E! Online.

“Went our separate ways but I was happy she was killin’ it/Bittersweet she was up, I was down/No lie, I feel good for her but what do I do now?” Rowland sings.

The song also reveals how her abusive boyfriend would taunt her about her insecurities: “I was battered/He hitting the window like it was me, until it shattered/He pulled me out and said, ‘Don’t nobody love you but me/Not your mama, not your daddy, and especially not Bey.”

Hopefully, Beyonce can take a little time out of her busy schedule to reach out to a former bandmate who’s hurting. She is expecting Baby #2 with husband Jay-Z, multiple sources claim. According to the New York Post, the high-waisted Givenchy gown Bey wore to last week’s Met gala was carefully constructed to conceal Blue Ivy’s little brother or sister. She is also in the middle of a world tour.

If Beyonce and Jay-Z really are expecting, it’s no surprise they’d want to keep it to themselves a little longer, given the elaborate fanfare that heralded their daughter’s arrival. Blue Ivy Carter was delivered on a private floor of New York’s Lenox Hill Hospital that the superstar couple reportedly paid $1.3 million to rent out. And while mom and baby recuperated, security remained high: Hospital workers reportedly put tape over surveillance cameras, and employees’ mobile phones were confiscated when they arrived for shifts, sources told the New York Daily News.
