The Word: Brad Pitt calls Angelina Jolie ‘heroic’

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in 2007
Angelina Jolie, with partner Brad Pitt in 2007, underwent a preventive double mastectomy earlier this year.

Brad Pitt might be an awesome action star in “World War Z,” but he says his own hero is fiancee Angelina Jolie.

Angelina, who recently wrote about her preventive double mastectomy for the New York Times, is an inspiration, he says. “The person that you see now is the person that I’ve always known, and she’s heroic and incredibly strong and will attack any problem head-on and make it work,” he told E! Online.

Angeline and Brad attended the London premiere of “World War Z” with their sons Pax and Maddox, as well as a concert afterparty by Muse.

Maybe one of the ways Angelina helps Brad out is remembering faces for him. The actor says he’s planning to get tested to find out if his forgetfulness is actually a condition called prosopagnosia, or face blindness. His guilt over not remembering people means he rarely goes out — you can’t forget someone you never meet. It’s sweet that he even feels bad about this. I’d consider it an honor to have Brad Pitt forget my face.
