The Word: 50 Cent denies kicking his ex

Rapper 50 Cent has been charged with attacking his ex-girlfriend, kicking her and trashing her condo last month. 50 says the charges are bogus, and that he didn’t hit the woman, who is also the mother of his child. The LAPD disagree – 50′s been hit with five charges, including one for misdemeanor domestic violence and four for misdemeanor vandalism, for what police estimate is $7,100 worth of damage to the condo, according to USA Today.

50 Cent’s lawyer released a statement denying the allegations, and pointing out that the rapper has not been arrested, nor is there a warrant out for his arrest. His arraignment is on July 22. If convicted, he could face up to five years in jail or $46,000 in fines.

The Daytona 500 always brings out celebrities — ones that have absolutely no interest nor knowledge about NASCAR.

So of course rapper 50 Cent was just chillin’ on pit road during the prerace festivities as Fox’s Erin Andrews wandered aimlessly through the crowd looking for Danica Patrick.

As she stopped at the sight of 50 Cent, the rapper tried to plant a kiss right on her lips. We think. Regardless, Andrews’s reaction was the most priceless part. It turned into an awkward, air-kissing, “what the heck just happened?” moment.

It made for the most awkward sports reporter/celebrity kissing incident since Suzy Kolber and Joe Namath. (You didn’t think we forgot about that did we?) And we don’t even think 50 Cent was drunk. By the way, Namath’s Chad Pennington criticism still holds up.
