The Word: Did George Clooney hit on Eva Longoria before his breakup?

George, you dog.

George Clooney recently broke up with former WWE star Stacy Keibler – but he may not have waited for their breakup to be official before moving on. A source tells Us Weekly that George Clooney and Eva Longoria started hanging out back in March, and he made it clear he wanted to get with her, but at the time he was still with Stacy.

Longoria didn’t want to be the other woman, but according to the source, Clooney “continued to pursue her with texts and calls. Eva make it clear to him that she would not date or be with him until he was completely single.”

It took Clooney some time longer to extricate himself, by which point Longoria was already seeing her current boyfriend, Ernesto Arguello. Go Eva! That’s probably the first time Clooney’s ever heard the word “no” from a woman. Besides, now she has the ultimate trump card when she argues with Arguello: “I can leave you for George Clooney.”

While news of George Clooney and Stacy Keibler’s split may have come as a surprise to some, the writing had apparently been on the wall for quite some time for their doomed relationship, according to Us Weekly. “They hadn’t had sex in months,” a source says. “He’s been in Europe, and she’s in L.A., and they haven’t seen each other in a long time. Some girls would be OK with that and just be happy dating George, but not her.” According to TMZ.com, the two ended their contract, erm, relationship, over the phone.
