The Word: Miley Cyrus ‘didn’t even think about’ VMA performance

Ever since the VMAs, one question has been on America’s mind: Will taking action in Syria destabilize the region further?

In the rare moments that we as a nation weren’t gravely debating that, we spared a few moments to ask ourselves, what was Miley Cyrus thinking at the VMAs?

Now the answer comes from the rogue twerker herself: She wasn’t.

“What’s amazing is I think now, we’re three days later and people are still talking about it. They’re overthinking it,” she says in the below interview with MTV. “You’re thinking about it more than I thought about it when I did it. Like, I didn’t even think about it ’cause that’s just me.”

We know, Miley. We know. This is what concerns us.

Even Miley Cyrus’ friends can’t stand behind what she did at the VMAs, and they’re not shy about saying so. Especially if it’s their job to tear down celebrities.

Miley’s pal Kelly Osbourne, cohost of “Fashion Police,” couldn’t hide her dislike of her friend’s performance.

“Miley’s my friend and I love her, and I have her back no matter what, but as her friend I’m going to tell her: Put your f—ing tongue in your mouth. I love you, but just put your tongue in your mouth.”
