Scarlett Johansson thinks the Oval Office is missing something: mommies.

“I think we could only benefit from having someone in office who has been a mother; women have a different perspective because of that maternal instinct,” she told Harper’s Bazaar, explaining why she hoped Hillary Clinton would be elected president in 2016.

I mean, I guess so. There are a lot of things about Hillary that qualify her for executive office, but “maternal instinct” isn’t really that high on the list of things you think of when her name comes up, you know? “Unafraid to wear a scrunchie in public” is much more promising in my book.

Speaking of books, Scarlett Johansson has a thing about the written word. And that thing is: She doesn’t like it.

The actress is suing over the use of her name in “The First Thing We Look At,” a French novel by Gregoire Delacourt, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The book features a character first believed to be Johansson until it is later revealed she is a look-alike. Johansson is seeking compensation and damages for “breach and fraudulent use of personal rights,” and she’s also seeking a ban on “future transfer of rights and adaptations of the book.”
