The Word: Prince William leaving Royal Air Force
Prince William is ending his military career to be a stay-at-home dad, or at least a stay-closer-to-home dad.
After seven years in the Royal Air Force, the heir to the British throne will leave this month to focus on his family, his royal duties and his charity work.
“The Duke will work closely over the next 12 months with the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. He will expand his work in the field of conservation, particularly in respect of endangered species,” the palace said in a statement.
That’s not the only change for William, Kate and George: They’re also getting new digs. “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince George are expected to move into their official residence at Kensington Palace within the next few weeks,” the palace said.
They’re moving? When both parents are out of work? I hope that’s not a financial mistake. Don’t max out your credit cards, guys. Get a small starter palace if you have to. I’m just kidding, they’re insanely rich.
