The Word: Did Lindsay Lohan’s TV show ban her parents?
Lindsay Lohan has a reality miniseries in production for OWN about her journey to sobriety and her attempts to restart her career. Reportedly, one thing will be missing from that journey. Well, two things: her mother and father. According to TMZ, neither of them will appear in a single scene of LiLo’s show.
That seems wise, if it’s correct. I can’t imagine that any career choice Lindsay Lohan could make would be improved by the involvement of her parents. Even if she decides to become an insurance agent or something, Dina Lohan would probably crash a car through her cubicle and Michael Lohan would conceive an illegitimate child on top of her actuarial tables. Most reality shows would probably love to feature those kinds of shenanigans, but this is meant to be inspirational, I think, and the senior Lohans would probably mess up that narrative real quick.
Even the more tenuously connected members of the clan are affected by Lohan madness. Remember a few years ago when it was revealed that Michael Lohan had fathered a secret daughter while still married to Dina Lohan? That daughter, Ashley Horn, is 18 now, and she’s gotten $25,000 worth of plastic surgery to look more like Lindsay.
