The Word: Tori Spelling slams Katie Holmes’ singing skills

"The Other Place" Broadway Opening Night - Arrivals & Curtain Call

Katie Holmes “can’t sing for s—,” Tori Spelling reveals in her new book, Spelling It Like It Is.

And she’s rude, too, she claims.

It wasn’t always like this between them. Once, they were friends – or at least they had drinks one time. According to Radar, Tori reveals that she and Katie met up for drinks with a mutual friend back in the “Dawson’s Creek” epoch, and Katie was “shy, but engaging.”

Fast forward to last year: Tori was waiting to meet with her vocal coach, and she heard his previous client still warbling away, “horribly off-key.” It was Katie Holmes.

After apparently presumably making a mental note to insult Katie’s singing voice in her upcoming book, Tori greeted her old friend, who didn’t return the affection as warmly as Tori expected.

“I didn’t know whether we should hug or shake hands. But the signal from her was immediately clear: Don’t even come close. I instantly got nervous. We clearly weren’t going to catch up on the last ten years. And we certainly weren’t going to talk about her husband, Tom Cruise.”

Tori tried to bond by mentioning that she had kids the same age as Katie’s daughter Suri. “Oh, do you?” Katie responded, apparently unaware that she was supposed to be up to date on the families of everyone she had dinner with ten years prior.

“Come on. Okay, I know your’e busy. But you’re in the public eye. Don’t tell me you don’t follow the tabloids. Don’t tell me you don’t know anything about other celebrities and their kids,” Tori sighed, before calling Katie “plastic,” and sniping, “I know you’re not a robot because you can’t sing for s—.”

Hahahaha “other celebrities.” I suppose they are both technically celebrities, but I really don’t think Tori and Katie are in the same circle of fame.
