Justin Bieber continues international crime spree by kicking an Argentine flag

Justin Bieber is basically an international criminal mastermind now. He’s the Moriarty of very small, annoying crimes. His M.O. is as follows: touch down in a country for a concert; commit some bratty misdemeanors; claim you didn’t know any better; hop the border before the cops can talk to you; repeat.

In Brazil, it was graffiti. In South Korea, storming a DJ booth. Now, in Argentina, the Biebs stands accused of desecrating a flag. According to TMZ, many Argentineans are inflamed at his perceived disrespect — one attorney in Cordoba has even filed legal papers accusing him of insulting the flag, a crime that could carry one to four years in prison.

You can watch video of the incident below. I have to say, this one genuinely doesn’t look like it’s his fault. Yes, he sort of kicks/scoots the flag off the stage with his mic stand; but he never picks it up, so it’s not clear he even knows what it is. Plus, he’s not the one who threw it onstage — is he supposed to stop the show to give it full military honors just because some weird patriotic Belieber threw it at him?

Huh. Argentina has got me defending Justin Bieber. This is a weird day.
