White House denies alien contact, but says they’re looking into it

Do you believe?

Extraterrestrials have not made contact with the human race, according to the U.S. government. Two petitions on the website We The People garnered more than 17,000 signatures calling for the White House to address the subject of aliens and acknowledge that they have made contact.

The White House issued this statement in response:

The U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race. In addition, there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public’s eye.

However, that doesn’t mean the subject of life outside our planet isn’t being discussed or explored. In fact, there are a number of projects working toward the goal of understanding if life can or does exist off Earth.

One of the U.S. government’s initiatives is the Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence, or SETI. It’s described as a “giant ear” for the human race, using telescopes to listen for signals from other worlds. There’s also the Kepler spacecraft that searches for other Earth-like planets which could also have lifeforms. Curiosity, the Mars Science Laboratory, will soon be launched on a mission to explore the Martian environment to determine if it ever harbored life.

The statement from the White House went on to say that while there is no evidence that E.T. has made contact with humans, there probably are other lifeforms somewhere out there — but don’t get your hopes up for an abduction any time soon.

“The odds of us making contact with any of them — especially any intelligent ones — are extremely small, given the distances involved,” the White House said.

So there you have it. All those U.F.O. sightings have perfectly logical explanations, according to the government. Any beliefs to the contrary are just our imaginations running away with us … or are they? Videos like the one below could raise a lot of questions. Do you believe?
