Tuiasosopo apologizes to girl in photos in Manti Te’o hoax

Ronaiah Tuiasosopo has now apologized to two people for his role in the Manti Te’o girlfriend “hoax.”
Diane O’Meara told NBC’s “Today” show Tuesday that Tuiasosopo said he was sorry for using her Facebook pictures to portray the image of “Lennay Kekua,” the name of Te’o’s online girlfriend who “died” of leukemia.
“I don’t think there’s anything he could say to me that would fix this,” the 23-year-old O’Meara said about Tuiasosopo.
O’Meara went to high school with Tuiasosopo but said they weren’t close.
Tuiasosopo also reportedly apologized to Te’o for the hoax last week.
Te’o will speak about the saga on camera for the first time this Thursday on Katie Couric’s TV show, “Katie.” Click here for station/time listings.
