The Huffington Post and Real Simple magazine teamed up to poll 3,583 women on their thoughts about technology, and some of the results may surprise you.

Sixty-nine percent of women polled sleep with their smartphone in the same room, 76 percent look at their phone once an hour and about 50 percent can’t help but check every 15 minutes. Despite these behaviors, only 27 percent of poll takers think they are addicted to technology.

When it comes to sex, 48 percent of women would rather go without it for a month than give up their phone.

And technology hasn’t just invaded the bedroom; it’s also in the bathroom. Thirty-nine percent of women use their phone while in the bathroom and one person even bought a waterproof case so she could use her phone in the shower.

Click here to see more results from the poll and tweet your thoughts to @metronewyork. We want to hear from you, even if you’re tweeting from the bathroom.
