Octomom: Outta money, not children

The Octomom is now on welfare to help support her 14 kids.

Considering she doesn’t have a job, husband or any way to support her 14 children, it’s slightly impressive that Nadya Suleman held out this long. But no more: The Octomom is now on welfare and is receiving death threats because of it.

She tells TMZ.com that the $2,000 a month she gets from the state of California in food stamps is to avoid “becoming totally destitute.” According to TMZ, she’s been receiving death threats since the welfare news broke — but she feels people should be directing their anger toward those “who are abusing the system and not at her.”

True. But what about stupid people who abuse fertility drugs to have way more children they — and society — can possibly support in a misguided attempt at fame? What do we direct that anger toward?

Sandler is a big winner at losing

Adam Sandler has a new record, but it’s probably not one he wants to brag about. The actor’s gender-bender comedy “Jack and Jill” — in which he played male and female twins — earned 10 of the 12 Razzies for which it was nominated over the weekend. The Razzies — or Golden Raspberries —celebrate the worst in film each year. “It’s not really a clean sweep,” Razzies founder John Wilson tells People magazine. “So it will go into the record books with an asterisk.” The previous record-holder for most wins was Lindsay Lohan’s 2006 film “I Know Who Killed Me.” Some of the trophies “Jack and Jill” earned include worst picture, both worst actor and actress for Sandler, worst supporting actress for David Spade (who also donned drag) and worst supporting actor for Al Pacino.
Then again, “Jack and Jill” made $142,251,636 against its $79 million budget — so don’t feel too bad for Sandler. He’s shamefaced all the way to the bank.
