First look: Watch the ‘Peanuts’ movie trailer
Craig Shultz is keeping his father Charles Shultz’s legacy alive by introducing the classic “Peanuts” comic strip characters to a whole new generation of kids. Shultz is one of the producers of the upcoming “Peanuts” movie, which will hit theaters November 6, 2015. This is the first time Charlie Brown, Linus, Snoopy and the gang will be seen in 3D.
It’s been 65 years since the comic strip debuted and 35 years since the last Charlie Brown movie came out, “Bon Voyage Charlie Brown (and Don’t Come Back!!) so a new storyline is long overdue. The movie trailer doesn’t give any details away as to what the movie will be about, but Paul Feig, another one of the producers, says you can expect the same sweet optimism Charlie Brown is known for.
Shultz agrees, promising wholesome characters and no rapping Snoopy, although he does say he’s a bit more provocative than his father was, which will show through in the movie. Steve Martino (“Ice Age: Continental Drift”) is signed on to direct. Get your first look at the trailer below:
