Police are investigating the death of a 24-year-old man who was found slumped over a gate behind a Chester home, apparently dead of gunshot wounds.
The man, from Chester but not yet identified by police pending the notification of his family, appeared to have been running before he collapsed on the gate, authorities told Philly.com.
Police responded to a reported suspicious person just before 6 a.m. Saturday morning, in the backyard of a home on the 2100 block of West Fourth Street.
It was there they found the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, per Philly.com.
Police told the website that the man may have been shot on Jeffrey Street before running to the home.
