A Montgomery County middle school teacher was arrested for allegedly sexual assaulting two high school students.

Jason Todd Gattuso, a 39-year-old social studies teacher at Springfield Township Middle School, has been charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent sexual assault, institutional sexual assault, corruption of minors and other charges, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office.

The victims, a 14-year-old and 15-year-old girl, met Gattuso when they were his students in eighth grade. Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele said Gattuso had sex with the two girls in multiple locations,including his car, one of the victim’s homes and other locations

Gattuso, a Chalfont resident, admitted to assaulting both girls when he was interviewed on Monday by Springfield Township police, according to Philadelphia Media Network.

The school district said Gattuso has been placed on “immediate and indefinite” administrative leave and emailed a statement to parents.

“The information we have received indicates that he has confessed to all charges against him,” Hacker wrote, according to NBC10 Philadelphia. “Our district has been cooperating fully with law enforcement officials, including the Springfield Township Police Department and the Montgomery county District Attorney’s Office, in their ongoing investigation, which began at the end of this current school year.”

Gattuso remains in Montgomery County Correctional Facility.after failing to post the $500,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 9.
