NBC10 weather team named “most accurate” in the region

No one likes surprises when it comes to the weather. Running off to work without an umbrella or getting caught in a snowstorm is enough to put a damper on anyone’s day.

Now you can rest a little easier knowing that NBC10’s first alert weather team has been named the “most accurate” forecaster covering the Greater Philadelphia region.

The team is made up of Glenn “Hurricane” Schwartz, Bill Henley, Erika Martin and Krystal Klei. Collectively, they have 80 years of forecasting experience.

The “most accurate” ranking was provided by WeatheRate, an independent weather verification company that’s been in operation since 2003.

Bruce Fixman, President of WeatheRate, says in a press release:

“Forecasting weather in the Philadelphia market is not easy. We’ve been watching Glenn, Bill, Erika and Krystal earn our accuracy seal of approval more than other stations in southeast Pennsylvania since we started tracking forecasts 13 years ago.”

Meteorologist Glenn “Hurricane” Schwartz also comments:

“We refuse to just rely on computer-generated forecasts. Our First Alert Neighborhood Weather involves updating 60 different forecasts every day.”
