Bullets shattered two windows on a Route G bus early this morning in West Philadelphia, officials said.

Around 12:45 a.m. the bus, which was traveling northbound on 56th street, caught two stray bullets that shattered two windows on the driver’s side, according to SEPTA spokeswoman Heather Redfern.

The shattered glass blanketed one passenger, who was treated at the scene.

Redfern said she could neither confirm, nor deny that the bus was a target.

“There were also other cars in the area that were also hit by bullets,” Redfern said. “The bus was on its regular route so it might have been going through.”

Philadelphia police said the incident is still under investigation.
