VIDEO: Police looking for driver who hit girl, 14, and fled

Police are searching for a driver who they say hit a 14-year-old girl in Wissinoming on March 9 and fled the scene.

The girl was crossing at the intersection of Torresdale and Cheltenham avenues about 8:30 p.m. when she was struck by a white vehicle traveling northbound. The vehicle pulled over and a male driver exited for a brief moment before getting back in the car and leaving the scene. The girl received significant injuries, police said.

The video shows the vehicle fleeing north on Torresdale Avenue and then east on Van Kirk Street. The vehicle should have damage to the hood being dented and the right side mirror knocked off.

Police describe the car as a white with two doors, of an unknown make with tinted windows.
