$75k bail for student who allegedly brought gun to Fels High School
Bail has been set at $75,000 for a student accused of bringing a gun into Samuel S. Fels High School on Wednesday.
Shaheed Whack, 18, was arraigned Thursday on charges of carrying an unlicensed firearm and possessing a weapon on school property.
School security officers allegedly found a .38-caliber revolver in Whack’s bookbag as he passed through school metal detectors around 7:30 a.m.
Police said he was arrested following a short foot pursuit.
Whack is next due in court on May 2 for a preliminary hearing.
