Broad Street Run to get security boost from mobile surveillance units
In the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings, Doylestown-based security company S4Worldwide, LLC has provided the city of Philadelphia SENTRY mobile surveillance units to step up security at the Broad Street run this Sunday.
The mobile units with integrated night-day cameras will be placed at strategic locations along the course to provide real-time surveillance to public safety officials during the race.
Police officials, along with the deputy managing director and employees of the Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management, will this afternoon learn how to operate the SENTRY mobile surveillance platform and perform a demonstration of its functions.
The event is slated to be held at the Police Department Highway Patrol Training Suite.
