Suit: LeSean McCoy stranded woman at rest stop after party bus assault

Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy and his bodyguard “Big John” in December pinned down a female passenger on McCoy’s party bus in, poured beverages on the woman and then stranded her along the New Jersey Turnpike, a lawsuit filed last week in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas claims.

The suit alleging assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false imprisonment and negligence names McCoy, Big John and Premier Luxury Rentals, Inc.

According to the complaint, McCoy, Big John and about three other men and fifteen women were traveling back to Philadelphia from a New York City nightclub in the early morning hours of Dec. 19 on a party bus rented from Premier Luxury.

McCoy and some of the male guests around 3:30 a.m. allegedly began to spray the female guests – including the plaintiff, who is suing under the pseudonym “Mary Roe” – with water.

When Roe protested, McCoy directed Big John to “get her,” the suit states.

According to the complaint, “Big John and / or McCoy then struck the plaintiff in the face, causing her to fall to the ground, physically restrained her while she was laying on the ground, poured a beverage onto her hair, clothes and body, and forcibly dragged her and pushed her.”

McCoy allegedly ordered the driver to stop, “forcibly ejected” the woman from the bus and attempted to leave her by the side of the turnpike.

Court documents claim Roe was allowed back on the bus after some of her fellow passengers protested, but was a short time later stranded at the Molly Pitcher service area in Cranbury, N.J. after she told McCoy she’d called police.

After reporting the assault to New Jersey State Police, Roe had to take two trains to get back to Philadelphia.

The woman claims she sustained “serious injuries” during the alleged assault, including “head trauma and injury,” a spinal disc protrusion, sprains to her back and neck, bruises on her forehead, arm, leg, foot and chest and “a severe shock to the nerves and nervous system, which injuries are or may be permanent.”

She’s asking for compensatory and punitive damages in excess of $50,000 to reimburse her for medical expenses, as well as “humiliation, pain and suffering” and a loss of earning capacity.
