Powerball jackpot nears record
No one won Powerball’s $360 million jackpot Wednesday night.
The multi-state lottery’s jackpot now stands at $475 million, according to Powerball.com. The next drawing is Saturday night.
The numbers for Wednesday’s drawing were 2, 11, 26, 34, 41 and a Powerball of 32.
At $475 million annuity, the Powerball jackpot is at its second-highest level ever. The cash option is currently projected to pay out more than $302 million to a jackpot winner.
The largest Powerball jackpot ever was $587.5 million.
Powerball tickets are sold in 43 states, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, and in Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Each ticket costs $2.
While there were no jackpot winners in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing, 2,699,821 players will split $46,912,370 in prizes, according to the lottery website.
