Philadelphia police investigate overnight shooting deaths
Two people were killed by gunfire overnight in North Philadelphia.
The first shooting death happened on the 1500 block of North 23rd Street about 10:42 p.m. Monday, according to police.
Philadelphia police identified the victim as 20-year-old Tyrone Hayes. Hayes was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound to the chest at Hahnneman University Hospital at 11:10 p.m.
The second homicide occurred about 12:12 a.m. Tuesday on the 900 block of North Marvine Street, where a 21-year-old man died at the scene from a gunshot wound to his head.
Police have not identified the North Marvine Street victim.
No arrests have been made in either case, police said.
