VIDEO: Men steal $15K from Northern Liberties bar

Police are looking for two men who were caught on camera early Friday morning breaking into a Northern Liberties bar, where they allegedly stole $15,000 in cash.

Investigators released surveillance footage showing the men shortly before 4 a.m. forcing open a first floor window of The Abbaye bar, located at 637 N. Third St.

Once inside, the suspects allegedly took $15,000 in cash from a small lockbox, along with a large safe, which police said was empty.

Both men fled north on Third Street from Fairmount Avenue in a white pickup truck with an open bed, according to authorities.

One of the suspects is described as a 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-tall white male in his early to mid-30s with a thin build and a short beard. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and a light-colored baseball cap.

The second suspect is described as a 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 white male in his early to mid-30s with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a white sleeveless T-shirt, blue jean shorts, black sneakers and a light-colored baseball cap.
