Three dead in late-night shootings in Chester
Three people died in two separate shootings late Monday in Chester.
Two people were killed by gunfire on the 1300 block of West Seventh Street about 11:25 p.m., The Delaware County Daily Times reports.
Police found an 18-year-old man dead at the scene. A 22-year-old man was pronounced dead at Crozer-Chester Medical Center a short time later.
The second fatal shooting happened about 40 minutes later, in the city’s Sun Village section, where a 20-year-old man died of a gunshot wound to his head.
Police found the man in the driver’s seat of a car that had crashed into several parked vehicles on the 900 block of McDowell Avenue. Police responded to reports of as many as 40 gunshots, the paper reports.
