Cops: Upper Darby woman struck husband with hot iron
Police in Upper Darby Township have charged a woman with striking her husband with a hot iron during an argument.
The alleged attack happened about 9:20 p.m. Monday, the Delaware County Daily Times reports.
It was the second time police were called to the home on the 900 block of Fairfield Road, in the township’s Drexel Hill section, for a report of a domestic dispute Monday night.
Police first responded to the home about 8:20 p.m. The victim, who was packing a bag, told police he was going to spend the night away from home.
The victim sustained cuts and burns to his face in the attack. He did not go to the hospital, according to the report.
Fatimah Selby, 34, is charged with misdemeanor simple assault and harassment by physical contact, which is a summary offense. She was driving away from the home as police arrived, but was pulled over and taken into custody. She is free on $25,000 unsecured bail.
