Woman accused of selling drugs to driver in deadly New Hampshire crash
A second woman has been arrested in connection with the deadly Hampton, N.H., bike crash that left two Massachusetts women dead and two others injured over the weekend.Cindy Sheppard allegedly sold a controlled drug to 19-year-old unlicensed driver Darieann Hess, who went on to crash into a group of bicyclists taking part in a Hampton, N.H., charity bike ride, WBZ reports.
Police told WBZ that Sheppard allowed Hess to drive the car, despite knowing that Hess did not have a license.
Pamela Wells, 60, of South Hamilton, Mass., and Elise Bouchard, 52, of Danvers, Mass., died when Hess crashed into them as they rode their bikes.
Hess was pulled over for speeding just hours before crashing into the cyclists. She was arraigned in Wednesday on two counts of negligent homicide and two counts of assault and ordered held on $50,000 bail, according to the Boston Herald.
