MBTA Red Line bathed in JetBlue
For the first time ever an advertiser has blanketed the entire interior of an MBTA subway car.
JetBlue paid $55,000 to have panels installed on the car’s ceiling, doors and walls, according to T Spokesman Joe Pesaturo. The ads were installed over the weekend, and will remain in the car until the end of the month.
The transit agency typically gets $1,600 for specific spaces designated for ads, Pesaturo said, but will “absolutely” continue to make the interior wrap option available to maximize ad revenue.
