Jonnie Marbles: More on the attempted pie-thrower

Unfortunately, in his brief moment of shining fame Marbles was overshadowed by the facial expression of MP Louise Mensch.

For the first few hours, the Murdoch hearings in Parliament were interesting only to those trying to figure out James Murdoch’s freaky accent. (It turns out dissembling is kind of boring to watch!) That all changed when renegade comedian “Jonnie Marbles” tried to throw a makeshift “pie” (really shaving cream) in the face of the elder Murdoch. Now that he’s had his brief moment in the spotlight, what do we know about him?

He’s a fan of Dickens, or at least, martyrdom:

He was not a fan of any of the options in the 2010 UK elections:

His stand-up routine is … a little sad:

And he has an even sadder one about being robbed:

And now he’s been punched by an angry Chinese woman! Good way to start the week.

Tell us, readers: In Pie-gate, is Jonnie Marbles is a hero, or a buffoon?
