Amina Mohamed, Foreign Minister of Kenya, said on PBS Newshour tonight that “two or three Americans” were among the shooters on Saturday’s mall attack, reports the Washington Post.

Mohamed told PBS that the Americans were 18 or 19 and of Somali or Arab origin. She said they lived “in Minnesota and one other place” in the U.S. Officials are investigating if any of the shooters are American.

State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told the Post, “At this point we have no definitive evidence of the nationalities or identities of the perpetrators.”

Between 10 and 15 terrorists from Somalian Islamist group al-Shabaab have been holding civilians hostage in Nairobi’s Westgate Mall. In addition to the 68 people who died in the attack, at least 175 people were injured when the militants stormed into the mall and opened fire. It is unclear how many hostages remain inside the mall.
