Ontario-based Canadian Tire built a 15,000lb truck completely of ice, apart from chassis, tires and vital mechanical components.
A 2005 GMC Silverado was stripped down before a steel frame was fitted to support the ice. Special fans were installed to channel away potentially ruinous hot air and exhaust fumes.
The battery was frozen down to -40F before the vehicle was successfully driven roughly 2.5 miles.
