Two car accidents kill three people over the weekend
Two separate car accidents killed two people over the weekend.
A motorcyclist was killed after being rear-ended Friday in Kensington.
A 2009 Toyota Corolla was pulling out of the Wawa parking lot at Aramingo Avenue and Cumberland Street at 11:33 p.m. when it struck a 1993 Suzuki Motorcycle that was driving north on Aramingo.
The motorcyclist, Nhan Chinh Hoan, 23, of the 3100 block of E Street, attempted to avoid a collision by laying his bike down, but was ejected. The motorcycle hit the fender of the Corolla and continued northbound on Aramingo until it hit a light pole. Hoan was taken to Hahnemann Hospital and pronounced dead at 11:54 p.m.
A driver and passenger were killed early this morning in a single-car crash in Port Richmond.
A 2004 Dodge Dakota was traveling southbound on Richmond Street at 3:53 a.m. this morning when the driver, Annette Nash, 46, of the 2700 block of Willits Road lost control and hit a utility pole.
Nash and the rear seat passenger, Daniel Cordero, 45, of the 2400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, were taken to Hahnemann Hospital but died at 4:55 a.m. A female front seat passenger, 41, is in stable condition.
