Anchor Sue Simmons to be let go from Channel 4

TV Anchor Sue Simmons has been at Channel 4 for three decades.

This may deserve a “What the F***” reaction – Sue Simmons was let go from Channel 4, the New York Post reported today.

The three-decade anchor, who has won four Emmy awards, will be on air until June at the 11 p.m. broadcast, then leave co-host Chuck Scarborough, whose contract was reportedly renewed for three years. Simmons has only been anchoring the 11 p.m. show since January, after she was bumped from the 6 p.m. slot.

Simmons is also known for an infamous on-air cursing incident, in which she “What the f*** are you doing?” to an unknown person off camera in 2008. She later issued an apology on-air saying, “I said a word that many people find offensive. I’m truly sorry. It was a mistake on my part and I apologize.”
