Happy Truck Day, Red Sox Nation!
While it’s still winter here in Boston, spring is in the air at Fenway Park where today the big tractor-trailer was loaded with player and practice equipment to head to the spring training facility in Fort Myers. Pitchers and catchers report next Monday and the full squad is scheduled to report next Thursday.
A handful of fans braved the frigid temperatures witness the Red Sox Nation holiday.
While last year ended in a less-than-enjoyable way for the home town team, a new manager and some new, young players have fans excited about what’s to come in the 2013 season. That’s what Truck Day is all about – a new beginning – because, hey, there’s always this year.
