15-year-old girl found dead outside Queens home

A 15-year-old girl was found dead in the yard of a home in the Rosedale section of Queens Sunday morning, according to police.

Police responded to a 9-1-1 call around 7:40 a.m. at 245-07 135th Ave. The girl was later identified as Aeisha Sarooqui who lived in Flushing.

Police said there were no obvious signs of trauma. Investigators are looking into whether the girl may have overdosed on prescription drugs, the Daily News reports.

The homeowner and other nearby residents said they did not know the girl or why she was in the area.
