Man fatally struck by NYPD car

A man was hit by a cop car responding to a 911 call this morning, according to the NYPD.

Police said that around 12:45 a.m., police officers were responding to a 911 call in Queens.

While driving east on 40th Avenue, the patrol cruiser hit a man trying to cross the street.

The incident occurred between 10th Street and 11th Street, according to police.

Emergency responders arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Cops are investigating the incident.
