The district attorney’s office on Thursday identified the man who was found dead under an Interstate 93 ramp in Boston earlier this week.

Investigators are still trying what led to Corey Thompson’s death. Thompson was a 43-year-old Roxbury resident, according to the Suffolk district attorney’s office.

A passerby reported finding Thompson’s body in a gravelly area under the ramp near Albany and Traveler streets about 8 a.m. Monday.

Detectives were investigating the death as a possible homicide, but have not definitively ruled on the manner of death.

An obituary for Thompson that was posted online said he worked as a hair stylist at a Newbury Street salon.

“Corey was a fun loving, kind, compassionate man who enjoyed traveling, working out, and his pugs ‘Oso’ and ‘Nikko,’” the obituary said.
