Two charged in Temple student home invasion
Two men have been charged in the Monday assault and robbery or four female Temple University students, said officials with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office today.
Tyree Johnson, 19, and Malcolm Murray, 18, have been charged with aggravated assault, robbery, burglary, conspiracy, criminal trespass, theft, possession of an instrument of crime, weapons offenses, simple assault, reckless endangerment, unlawful restraint, and false imprisonment.
Both Johnson and Murray have been arraigned and bail has been set at $800,000 each.
Police said the men followed home a Temple student Monday night and forced her inside her off-campus apartment on the 1800 block of North 18th Street. The men reportedly bound the woman and her three roommates and duct-taped their mouths and robbed them. No injuries were reported.
The two suspects are scheduled for a preliminary hearing March 21.
