Lehigh County apartment fire kills four
Four people died in an explosive fire in Emmaus, Lehigh County, on Sunday.
The fast-moving fire started around noon on South Fifth Street in a house that had been converted into apartment units, NBC 10 reported. The blaze claimed four lives by the time firefighters were able to bring the fire under control.
Officials have not released the identities of the four victims.
Area residents told NBC10 they heard explosions coming from the house.
The American Red Cross Greater Lehigh Valley Chapter assisted two displaced families.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
