Arrest in St. Patrick’s Day bomb threat at Cabrini College dorm
Police have arrested an 18-year-old man for allegedly calling a bomb threat into Cabrini College on Saint Patrick’s Day.
The Radnor Township Police Department took Daniel Bowden, 18, into custody yesterday.
Bowden allegedly called a wall phone in the Woodcrest Hall dormitory hallway shortly after 9:45 p.m. March 17. Police said two female students picked up and Bowden, disguising his voice, said there was a “bomb in the building.”
The Radnor police and Fire Company, plus K-9 units from a multi-township task force, responded to the threat and cleared the building.
Investigation revealed Bowden was the person who made the call, authorities said today.
Bowden was arraigned today and released on $5,000 unsecured bond.
He is charged with three felony counts each of making terroristic threats and criminal use of a communication facility and misdemeanor counts of sounding false alarms to a public safety agency, reckless endangerment and harassment.
Bowden’s preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
